I Love Women,

This issue feels like a milestone for me. Everything I imagined EDREA MAGAZINE could become is finally beginning to come together.

When I first started planning this issue, I had a conversation with the editor-in-chief of a much larger publication. We spoke about some of the challenges I'd faced in previous issues and what I wanted the magazine to become. They gave me one piece of advice that has stayed with me: less is more.

After every issue, I usually find myself wishing I'd done more, shot another editorial, commissioned another story, filled a few more pages. But this issue feels different. It feels complete. Every story has the space it deserves, and together they say exactly what I wanted them to.

Growing up, people would often ask me, "What does your dad do for a living?" It's a question that stayed with me because, all the while, I was watching my mother. I watched a woman build a successful business in an industry dominated by men. I watched her run a household, making sure everyone had what they needed before they even knew they needed it. I watched her care for her own mother, and I watched her drop everything to be present for her children.

Those experiences shaped how I understand strength, ambition and success.

Although this issue began as a reflection on my mother's experiences, it arrives at a moment when those stories feel more necessary than ever. As traditionalist and misogynistic ideas continue to find their way back into public discourse. It feels urgent to centre women's achievements, realities and voices. Not as a reaction, but as a reminder of what has always been true.

I love making this magazine. Every issue teaches me something new—not just about fashion, but about people, about storytelling and about the world around me. I hope this issue reminds you, as it reminded me, that some of the most important stories are often the ones we've been living alongside all along.
